It has a great fish, reef wildlife and jellyfish collection. It also has some sharks and dolphins. We had a great time there. I'm giving it three stars because I found it too expensive. It costs about 160RMB to get in, which is roughly around...More

The Beijing aquarium is a large facility with many fascinating exhibits of aquatic life. For me one of the most interesting were the jelly fish displays. According to another person in our party, the aquarium is showing some signs of wear & tear. In some...More

Perhaps we picked a good time, or perhaps we just got lucky. But it wasn't super crowded, and instead was fascinating, modern, and clean. A stark contrast to the horrendous zoo next door.

Do not pay money for this. The delphin show is in chinese and nothing interesting. Aquarium is OK but not worth for 160 CNY

Having been to several Chinese "zoos", I had pretty low expectations, but this was surprisingly good. Perfect for little kids with only a few hours' attention spans. The aquarium itself is not that big, certainly not as far as major aquariums go (Osaka, Monterey, etc)...More

Skip the zoo and go straight to the aquarium! The exhibits are very nicely put together, although the enclosures seem small and very basic the animals seem happy. It's quite pricy compared to the zoo but much more enjoyable.
