Great Shopping (big brands), Better Food!

Typically big store shopping district with all the high-end and international brands present. Not much in the way of local shops or 'bargain' stores, but it was great to walk up... read more

You will find from the most expensive and world famous stores to the little food places in a Hutong where you will have... More

Nice pedestrian street for people watching and strolling any time of the day. The beer gardens are fun just to sit and enjoy. Lots and lots of tour groups so very crowded. Many many malls if you are into shopping. Very walkable distance from Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City.

not for the faint hearted, skewers of all sorts being shoved in your face from all angles in a tight space.. good for some fun or taking your parents/friends when they visit town but is certainly a foreign trap for westerners and non-beijing residents. Avoid like the plague during holidays as everyone in the country seems to get the same... More

We went here as part of our tour and I find this place so great for tour and some Chinese goods were nice to buy. There's a food street also where you can buy in a low price.

Unfortunately not what we were expecting. Be warned when we caught a taxi here we requested one with a meter. HOWEVER when we were stopped the distance meter kept running. When we were driving the time meter kept running. Driver tried to charge double the price but we had video of his meter and threatened to call police,

Very touristy street. You will find all kinds of food here and most stalls have English menu. Even vegetarians and vegans have decent food options. We had some veggie dumplings that were great. Food's real cheap if you confirm the price before you buy anything otherwise you will have to pay touristy prices esp if you can't speak the language.... More

Typically big store shopping district with all the high-end and international brands present. Not much in the way of local shops or 'bargain' stores, but it was great to walk up and down the street and go into the malls and walk around. The food however, was great. Take a trek up to the top floor of the APM Mall... More

The Wangfujing Street is, to my mind, the most representative of China. I enjoyed delicious street food and I bought a souvenirs and keepsakes with a reasonable price.
