This area is worth walking through just to see the market areas. Be careful though lots of locals tried to be my friend and asked me to have tea or beer with them - and I'm sure the price would have been a special tourist price. The food court is the area to see, smell and if you are brave,... More

I stumbled upon the food street when shopping on this street. It was around 10 am and already the stalls were fully stocked with food. There was a lot of food options - much of them strange for North American tastes. One stall had scorpion, insects, starfish and snake on a stick. Not even remotely interested in sampling these but... This area were one of the famous area in Beijing, prestige and touristy, you can get all what you never see in your country, odd food and all weirdness. Don't ever talk to people that offering something, actually they are offers prostitute and if you are curious and asking you will end up with some one who disturb your travelling... More

Prepare yourself. Tons of people. There's the main street with expensive shops, but go down the alleyways for the real treat. Tons of food stalls, knick-knack shops, eateries, and even an arcade. You will have people asking you to buy things and trying to sell to you. But try the food! Haggle for some touristy crap to take home! This... More

Don't miss the night market which has its entrance on Wangfujing. The main stree has lots of shopping malls with everything you could want and much you don't need. Look for good places to eat inside the malls, which are very popular. Watch out for "art students" offering free art show - its a scam.

A good place to walk around at night which was not too far from where we were staying at Regent Beijing. However, it was too crowded when we were strolling along the narrow lane selling all kind of strange and exotic local street food which was not for the faint hearted!

With malls and shops from Rolex to Miniso, the new discounter, there's something for every budget on Wangfujing Street. There's a lot of places to spend and eat. My favorite part is the food street near the south side of the pedestrian shopping street. That's where you can see the exotic delicacies on offer like the scorpions on a stick.... More

The street is a walking street close to the Novotel Peace Hotel and has a lage variety of products available both Chinese and Western. There are the usual western restaurants such as McDonalds, KFC and Starbucks. There are also Chinese restaurants to suit most tastes plus some which sell very unusual foods. There is a large mall about half way... More

The streets of wangfujing is a shopping and snack, street food area. There are some traditional food and some bizarre food, i'm not into those scorpions or bugs, even the chinese don't really eat them, these are some 'attraction' for the tourist! Food here is just OK, However the smell is really horrendous, some time you just feel like puking... More
