Basically a clocktower but the centerpiece of this shopping and commercial area. Not something I would seek out for a visit but you will encounter it if you are in the area walking around.

Just a clock, not very big but is to signify when communists retook Chongqing. Rolex face, which is very 'communist '

This is one of the must visited area of Chongqing. People used to dance here, meet here and enjoy. Luxury brands available and visit will add another moment in your diary.

Come here and take your pictures but, unless you can read Chinese to begin to grasp the significance of the monument, don't expect much else other than expensive shopping in the immediate area. The monument does have significance to Chinese people, as it was built in 1945 to commemorate the war with Japan (it wasn't really a World War to... More

There is really nothing much around. Many shops around but none are interesting, nor is it special in anyway. Traffic getting there is also harsh, lots of congestion. There is nothing much else that is worth mentioning. I wouldn't be bothered to travel there again.

An historical monument build after WWII and very significant for the Chinese people. Just go watch, take a few pics and enjoy the shopping around it. For me the monument wasn't much to talk about.

A central point from which the malls and shops spread out from. Not that noteworthy but does tie the area together and you will likely see it if you do any shopping in the area. Worth a wander by.

A nice view from the different (expensive) shops at the monument. Nearby you can have a drink or you can shop in the shopping centers. It isn't more than a stone clocktower around 8 meters.

It is a very beautiful clock tower brightly lit at night. It is located in the centre of the square surrounded by trendy shopping malls and ultra modern tall buildings, office towers and hotels. Since it is historic, there are always crowds of people who just mingle, sell and buy stuff, socialize and take pictures. The atmosphere is very relaxing.... More
