Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Sunbream Theatre is located along King's Road in North Point. Opened in 1972 this is a long standing landmark theatre and popular venue watching Cantonese Opera performances in Hong Kong Island.

Tickets can be purchased online at the Sunbeam website or on location at the ticket booth just inside the theatre house. Worth a peak inside the main entrance area if in the area even if you are not here to see a performance.

Very old theatre with Canto Opera performances that the older generation like.

Theatre was threatened with destruction but an outcry from the public saved it.

A throw back to the Hong Kong that we don't know.

One of the old theatres on Hong Kong Island where you can watch Cantonese Opera and concerts are sometimes held at Sunbeam Theatre.

Went to a Cantonese Opera. Unfortunately there was only the singing and the music but not the costumes, which was quite disappointing. We were the only 2 westerners in a public of Chinese retirees. With my 47 years I brought down the mean age considerably. After 75 minutes we decided it was enough and left the show early.
