Although the shopping centre is quite average and bland, the market is quite remarkable in the effort they have made to make it look nostalgic. Now that it's famous there are a lot more out of town visitors.

The shopping centre in Yat Tung is your humble and local place where to find everything one needs for the daily living. Supermarkets, convenience stores, boutiques, banks etc. The star however is the new wet market which was completely renovated and re-opened in August 2016....More

If you look for anything rather than daily usage items, you do not have to go there. I go to the jockey club betting center near there. Restaurants are below average and same as the supermarket.

Local shopping centre with local shops and restaurants. A good sized Wellcome supermarket in the mall. The wet market, one of only 2 in Tung Chung is said to be one of the costliest in Hong Kong, due to the remote location.
