We thought we would avoid the crowds at Discovery Bay and go to a nice little rural beach. My take- too rural.

Took a return ferry to Mui Wo just for the ferry trip really.
Mui Wo has a bus station and a ferry pier. Use either to leave it as soon as possible.

Mui Wo is a beautiful, chilled and relaxed place. On my last visit here, decided to try one of the seafood restaurants looking out over the bay. They're usually great value for money and the food is fresh (or so iI expected).

Great for a day trip. Take a ferry from Central to Mui Wo. Walk or cycle around the beach and villages. The air is cleaner and the place is relaxed. There's some good restaurants, and keep a look out for the beloved water buffaloes!
