What a wonderful place. It’s quiet but if you want to get away from the crowds and neon this is going to suit you well. Lovely walk along the river and into the villages along the “old village path” . It got dark because we...More

It’s one of the two Lantau destinations. We thought we would avoid the crowds at Discovery Bay and go to a nice little rural beach. My take- too rural. One nice photo then quick jump back on ferry to make it back to Central.

We stayed in an airbnb and experienced the village atmostphere, their dim sum and restaurant dinner as well the the trails around it. It happened to be a wet weekend, which could explain the lack of tourist and hikers. We literally were the only ones...More

Visited December 2017. Took a return ferry to Mui Wo just for the ferry trip really. Mui Wo has a bus station and a ferry pier. Use either to leave it as soon as possible. Looked around the seafood restaurants - did not dare eat...More

It was Labour day so it was quite busy, I sat by some local women & enjoyed chatting with them during the ferry crossing. We got the ordinary ferry which took about an hour, it was a calm & very scenic journey. When we got...More

Nice and quiet place to relax next to HKG island. The ferry will take you there very easily from Central. 1. We had dinner at the Mui Wo cooked food market in the evening and this was a major disappointment. We paid HKG 400 for...More

It was a long hike for us, probably because we were not as fit as we thought, and also because we were duped into thinking that this was a hiking trail suitable for beginners. Stamina and strength required if you really wish to hike because...More

Mui Wo is a beautiful, chilled and relaxed place. On my last visit here, decided to try one of the seafood restaurants looking out over the bay. They're usually great value for money and the food is fresh (or so iI expected). Decided to have...More

Great for a day trip. Take a ferry from Central to Mui Wo. Walk or cycle around the beach and villages. The air is cleaner and the place is relaxed. There's some good restaurants, and keep a look out for the beloved water buffaloes!

It's a place rather than an actual hotel - silver mine beach in mui wo has a beachfront hotel which you could search for.
