Launched in November 2007, Cotai Water Jet is a premium high-speed ferry service between Hong Kong and Macao. As of Dec 2017, the maritime jet fleet has serviced more than 67 million passengers and in 2017 averaged approximately 94 daily sailings. Its 14 custom-built catamarans have the capacity to carry more than 400 passengers each and operate at top speeds of approximately 42 knots. Neighbourhood: Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.

I choose Cotai Water Jet going to Hong Kong from Macau vice versa. They follow the exact timings which is really efficient for a tourist like me that needs to catch up another train and plane going back home.
The staff from the Macau and Hong Kong terminal speak English which is really helpful.

This was our first time going to Macau and booked with Cotai as their ticket booth is right by the escalators, not knowing that TurboJet was to the left of the escalators. Make sure to go to TurboJet first as they have more boats and better customer service. The staff at Cotai were rude and unhelpful. We arrived at 11:30am and were made to purchase a ticket for a 1:30pm as the lady at the counter said that there were no boats/tickets available at all and we had to get the 1:30pm so we made the purchase. As we walked down, TurboJet had tickets available for 12:15, 12:30 and so on. I went back to Cotai straight away and asked for a refund as we needed to get to Macau sooner. Staff were rude and said to wait at the stand by line for the 12:30pm which we did and with no luck. So basically we sat around waiting for nothing for 2 hours which we could have spent that time elsewhere. It was the worse experience I have ever encountered as a first timer to Macau! Never again will I go with Cotai and would highly recommend TurboJet instead.

It has been many years since l last visited Hong Kong. Even more years going to Macau from HK.
I used to go to Macau from HK by fast ferry jet. Was not sure if this is still a good option with the opening of the land bridges.
I have to compliment Cotai Jet for the many improvements since l travel that route many years ago. The processes were very smooth. The ride took close to one hour. It was a seamless journey. This has to be the best way to get to Cotai from Hong Kong.

Cotai Water Jet offers fast and reliable ferry service between Sheung Wan and Taipa. While seats are in tight supply amid post-covid boom, the trip itself is pretty pleasant and hazzle-free. Seats are more comfortable than Turbojet and staff way friendlier. Highly recommend.

We had a great experience with Cotai Water Jet. We brought first class tickets and had a pleasant trip from Macau to Hong Kong. The boat ride was generally smooth and quiet. Enjoyed the experience and would do the waterjet again rather than the bus as there were not that many people and the boarding and disembarking process was smooth.

Easy to reach Shun Tank centre and collect the boarding passes from the counter. Checking-in has been quick, where they assign you the seats. Takes exactly one hour to reach Macau. It was kind of rough weather that day, and had experienced some disturbances and seasickness feelings that day though.Otherwise, it was smooth and awesome.

The ferry terminal large and modern. When I was there on a Sunday is largely empty and getting to my ferry was a breeze.

I am trying to book a Cotai ferry from Macau Taipa to Skypier. I would like to check if it is necessary to meet the minimum 185 minutes before departure? I am flying from HK on the 7.55pm flight. I would like to book the 3.55pm ferry from Taipa to Skypier. I will short of about 5 to 10 mins to meet the minimum 185 minutes. Is that ok?

I just looked at the Cotai web site I think the 3 hour min they are talking about includes the airport departure, so what there saying is if you take the 13.55 ferry you should not have a flight departing any earlier than 16.55 this allows you 180 minutes from the time your ferry departs checking in at the airport and flying out.

Take bus 281A from Nelson street Mongkok to China HK City stop (that is the ferry terminal from Kowloon to Macau). Ferry takes roughly about 1 hour to reach the outer-harbour terminal then take taxi (that is just easiest option i am afraid since only 8mins away) and just tell the driver drop you off nearest entrance.

Dear all, I'll be arriving at HK airport 1240 hrs, do you think I could make it on time for the ferry at 1415 hrs? May I know how long does it takes to reach the Cotai ferry ticketing counter upon arrival at the airport?
Your advise is most appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Hi. 10 - 15 minutes to our E2 counter. You should arrive at Transfer Area E2 at least 60 minutes before scheduled ferry departure time for ticketing and transfer procedures. For passengers without checked baggage, 30 minutes would be sufficient. DO NOT GO THROUGH IMMIGRATION AND RECLAIM YOU BAGGAGE.

Im not sure witch ferry Terminal to go to for my trip to Macau. I have purchased ticket online from Hong Kong China ferry terminal to Macau taipa ferry terminal. taking Cotai ferry
Is the ferry terminal departing from Kong Kong Located in Kowloon?
or is it Sheung Wan terminal?
Hi, Located in Kowloon.
Hello, I recently booked a ticket via Direct Ferries and noticed that I put the wrong birth date on my passenger detail. Will that be a problem if I don't provide the right birth date? Other than that are correct (passport number, etc).
For boarding, we only need to check the certificates for our Birthday Celebration Promotion.
