Description:

Go beyond tours. Come with us on a private, personal walking and food...

Go beyond tours. Come with us on a private, personal walking and food experience that gets you inside Hong Kong. Walks by professionals, not tour guides. Just three guests, maximum. There's no other company like us in Hong Kong, and we're proud to be recognized by the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Time Out, the Luxe Guide and the Chicago Tribune. If your time in Hong Kong is short, why waste a minute on a cookie-cutter group tour? Get personal, and learn about Hong Kong and what makes it tick from award winning professionals, food and travel journalists. We work with you to design a Hong Kong experience that's perfect for you. If you like culture and history, then it's back streets, hidden temples, old Chinese neighborhoods--even a haunted house! If you love Chinese food, then get ready to indulge, because that's our specialty. Hong Kong has tens of thousands of restaurants and noodle shops, but we've located all the best and we're sharing our secrets with you! (We speak and read Cantonese, so no worries about Chinese-only menus.). Whatever your profession or interest, we can craft a program that will give you the useful information and local intelligence you need to feel at home in Asia's most cosmopolitan city. Our director and your host, Daisann McLane, has unparalleled experience in finding and getting to the heart of the world's great places. She's an award winning travel journalist with National Geographic Traveler, and before that spent six years roaming the world as the New York Times' "Frugal Traveler" columnist. She fell in love with Hong Kong: she wants you to fall in love with this great city, too.

I have found a recommendation for "Little Hong Kong Adventures" in the fight magazine of Swiss Airlines. As I was about to travel to Hong Kong and I had a free day in the city, I decided to contact "Little Hong Kong Adventures" and to book a private tour to visit some parts of Hong Kong that I would not... Daisann really knows Hong Kong. After contacting Little Adventures in Hong Kong for a private tour to explore the potential for a photography workshop, Daisann traded quite a number of emails to get to know a little more about me and my interests. Before I’d ever set foot on the plane, I had background history on Hong Kong, numerous websites... More

There were a lot of options for food tours in HK, we chose Little Adventures and we weren't disappointed. Yvonne was our guide and she did a great job taking us around Sheung Wan. They only do small groups which is nice and keeps the tour intimate. Yvonne was very personable and knowledgeable, and she did a great job describing... More

Two great adventures with Adele and Yvonne. Both were extremely knowledgeable about Hong Kong, its culture, history and food. They customized the tour on the fly. Make sure Yvonne takes you for soup dumplings. Can't say enough great things about this company.

Yvonne is an expert and very knowledgeable guide. We had a wonderful tour through markets and lanes off the beaten track in Central and Sheung Wan and we enjoyed it a lot. Now we see Hong Kong with different eyes. We are happy to explore more of this amazing city with her.

Daisann and Daniel were great, from the booking process on forward. We had a fantastic tour and learned much about the Cantonese food scene. Would highly recommend to everyone!

My husband and I did 2 tours with Little Adventures Hong Kong when we were there for a conference in May (2016). Both were fantastic and eye-opening and fascinating and we cannot speak highly enough of our guides Daisann and Daniel. We will absolutely be going back if we're ever back in the neighbourhood.

We had a fabulous time walking and talking with Daniel who was incredibly knowledgeable and tailored the time perfectly to our brief for some academic food culture experiences and on trend HK eats. We would highly recommend Little Adventures.

We are first-timers to Hong Kong and much appreciated being referred to Little Adventures in Hong Kong. They did not disappoint. Our first tour was a walking tour in the Wan Chai neighborhood. We learned about the unique culture of Hong Kong and how that influences food and everyday life. Owner Daisann McLain is knowledgable, articulate, energetic. She created a... More

Many years ago (OK, in early 2010) I spent most of the day wandering around Hong Kong Island with Daisann from Little Adventures in Hong Kong. We ate all kind of tasty dishes and I came away with a better knowledge of the history, food, and culture of the place than I ever would have had I tried to do... More

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighbourhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
