Best spots to view from - The Peak, TST Star Ferry terminus, the Star Ferry halfway across the harbour, a flight landing in HK from the Eastern approach to HK Airport and if and only if you get a clear night, the insider spot is Shatin Pass - you need a car to take you up and back and a... More

But it is what HK is famous for. It amazes me that HK run this show every night, in Chinese only and there are so many tourists from all around the world watching it.

In a good weather anytime in the day is a good time to visit. Evenings though are the best time to hang around. Very decent atmosphere. the lights, the skyline with tall high rise buildings, the sea bay the boats. Everything looks fresh, young and last not the least romantic. Must visit.

Great ways to view the HK skyline - - Drinks at a rooftop bar - From the Star Ferry - From The Peak circle walk (not the part where all the tourists are)

There is also a Symphony of light show available which is very interesting. All buildings get lit up and and there is a light show on... More

Beautiful to look at night and when there is no mist during the day. It is lovely to see the boats and the lights at night.

The best view of the Hong Kong skyline is from the Kowloon side looking over towards the Hong Kong island. Have a walk on the Tsim Sha Tsui walkway / promenade after dark and you will not regret.

Take a ferry if you can, but otherwise the skyline is just as amazing if you visit it on foot. Spent 15mins watching the light show and other Christmas lights and it was pretty spectacular
