You can hear the chirping birds before you actually get to the bird garden. I entered by the flower market street after walking down it. It's at the end of the street with signs so it is hard to miss. The garden has a few...More

The Yuenpu Bird Garden is fascinating (you can read about it on this page), I walked there, but the nearest MTR station is Prince Edward. Then walk the Kowloon market trail. There are various guided tours of these markets, but I preferred to explore them on...More

I think the reviews by ITRT & CodyMav sum it up well & clearly nothing has changed as we were here in Dec ‘13. Before our visit we had never seen a Toucan in the flesh.

Near the Hong Kong Flower Market is the Bird Market. It is a place where you can see a large variety of songbirds. This one lane area is devoted to the Chinese tradition of keeping birds as pets. You will see most elderly people who...More

It's an odd one. Some of the birds appear well cared for, others, not so much. The Macaws were looking a bit scruffy as example, but they were on perches in the open rather than confined to small cages, so..... As a foreigner, I would...More

A short street with vendors selling caged birds and cages etc. This place is not worth a detour to see it.

It was cool seeing the variety of birds, but the place wasn't very big. Visit if you are in the area but not worth a special trip.
