Since our hotel was in this neighborhood we enjoyed strolling the many streets and by ways. There are many interesting traditional stores selling various dried goods and other wares. There are modern stores as well. This neighborhood is a bit gritty and somewhat worn at...More

Loved Sheung Wan. Really interesting area. Don't forget to visit the Hot food market for the best curry! 10 minute walk to Subway (which is clean and efficient and easy to use - dont be scared!) Away from corporate bustle and very Chinese :-)

This is one of the most traditional areas of Hong Kong and will definitely be of interest to Westerners. Nice to browse and easy to hop on and off the tram.

We didn't stay on the island so only had limited time in Sheung Wan but really enjoyed it. It's a great part of Hong Kong island to explore with loads of shopping and restaurants

Had a restaurant appointment in the area and strolled here. The old antique and dried food streets are here. The newish PMQ and SOHO are mixed together. Not much shopping

Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts,
Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going,
relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and
boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in
the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the
vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores –
it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area.
