Actually I myself don't come to this place so often, since it is a bit too touristic and busy. Nevertheless my destiny was a restaurant there, so I came by taxi again to this area. And yes, it is improving and vivid like all the time with bars and restaurants...

There are a lot of small bars and great rooftop terraces in and around Lan Kwai Fong. If you are in your 20's or 30's, this is the place to be for nightlife.

Lan Kwai Fong, colloquially known by its acronym LKF, is as divisive as Marmite. I like Marmite. I dislike LKF.

For first time visitors to Hong Kong - LKF is a must, but for others, there are much better areas in HK to explore. That said, the bars are still very nice places to get hammered!

The place be seen in Hong Kong for a night out ! Popular with Westerners because of all of the bars and clubs. Prices can be high.

Here often for Happy Hours, great crowd, great atmosphere all the time. Definitely a must see whether it may be short travel or long term stay in Hong Kong.

Lan Kwai Fong is an area the size of a couple of blocks with many restaurants. The area looks like some of the Hong Kong scenes one can see in movies. I've walked through it twice and it was packed with people. Lots of tempting smells, so if you are into Asian cuisine, you're going to like it. The area... More

LKF reminds me of Itaewon of Korea or Clark Quay of Singapore. Majority of the people you find here are expats or foreigners. Here you find many clubs, bars and restaurants.

Known as LKF by locals, in Central, this is the place to hang out. Crowded with people from all places. Lots of bars, clubs and some restaurants

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
