Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our family of four - children aged 11 and 12 - went on the Tai O excursion, including swimming in a waterfall and rockpool. Our guide was Stephen, and he couldn't have been better informed or more organised .. to the extent of demonstrating to our children which route to take up the rocks to jump off into the pool. We've been in HK nearly six years and wouldn't have been able to organise this day ourselves - so great for long term HKers, or for visitors.

In a quest to explore more of our home we had no hesitation in signing up for our 2nd tour with Amy. This time we headed to Tai O. Once again Amy, being the great guide she is, made it a fabulous day out. We toured Tai O village on foot and by boat, got a taste of the local snacks, had lunch in a stilt cafe (main restaurant was closed due to covid) and ended the day with a swim in the waterfall/rock pool before heading home. I'd also highly recommend this tour.

We found our guides Amy and Zoe very friendly and smiley. Nice that Amy is a local expat so can resonate with fellow expats...great that she is mentoring Zoe, a native Hong Konger with a real connection to the Wong Tai Sin Temple who could give her own personal account of her own experiences, like her mothers wedding... needing a separate wok for vegan for vegan food. It made it seem very real. Both were very flexible & accommodating..me showing an interest in going inside the temple while my friends carried on to get ready for lunch was really appreciated. It meant a lot to me as I know it wasn’t specifically on their list of things to do with us... and of course Zoe knows all about it as it is her temple. The traditional Nan Lian Gardens surrounding the temple are magnificent and well worth the stroll as is the Kowloon Walled City Park. It won’t disappoint. Here you’ll find preserved artefacts in the once infamous enclave controlled by the Triads. We throughly enjoyed our day with Amy and Zoe. We are looking forward to another adventure with them .

We had a great day with Amy cycling. She picked us up from our hotel in Kowloon. We started the ride in Shatin rode along the bike paths to Tai Po , had lunch at Sam Mun Tsai. After lunch we rode up to the Tsz Shan Monastery for a tour.
Amy was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating to our requests. Thanks Amy

30 years after winning a trip to Hong Kong on a television game show (which I forfeited at the time), I finally went to Hong Kong! Amy was an amiable, friendly, informative guide. She showed us how to get around Hong Kong using an Octopus pass, and even to the Toy Market Street so my nephew could add more miniature jets to his collection (he plans on becoming a pilot when he grows up). She took us to all the major sights in Hong Kong, and even to a wonderful dim sum restaurant! If you have never been to Hong Kong, and want to see its highlights, Amy is your guide.

Thanks Lena - I really appreciate the review! I hope little Max is still loving the A380 plane he picked up from toy street :) All the best to you, Liza and Max, Amy.

My sister, her 7-year-old and I were fortunate to have Amy be our guide to Hong Kong on our first trip to Hong Kong. I had won a trip to Hong Kong on a TV game show, but did not take the trip then. 30 years later, I finally made it here. Amy took us to some of the city's top sights and showed us how to use the public transportation (MTR, ferry, etc.) We saw the skyline from atop Victoria Peak, rode the 100-year-old Tram back down, rode the Star Ferry across Victoria Harbour to City Hall's dim sum restaurant for a delicious lunch. A visit to Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple gave us the opportunity to seek the advice of a fortune teller. Since Maxwell is a fan of airplanes/jets, Amy took us to the Toy Street Market for affordable miniatures. By the time Amy left us back at our hotel, we felt very comfortable about getting around Hong Kong on our own. We definitely recommend Amy as a tour guide, should you be lucky enough to find yourself in Hong Kong!

Dear Lena, it was my pleasure to spend the day with you and your family. I am really glad Maxwell got to go back to Toy Street (also my son's favourite place!) Great photo from the Peak, and thank Liza too for the review on my FB page. All the very best to all of you, Amy x

After looking at reviews of many tour companies in Hong Kong, I selected Hong Kong Greeters to give a 7-8 hour private tour for my 19 year old son who would be on a long layover in Hong Kong. I was very nervous as this would be his first real solo experience traveling and making sure he would be properly taken care of during his short visit was imperative.

Amy from Hong Kong Greeters was outstanding! She understood from the very beginning my concerns and what I was looking for. She setup a great

We only had two full days in Hong Kong and had never visited before so we decided that we needed a pro to make sure we made the most of our short time. We could not have been more delighted with Amy.

Amy is extraordinarily knowledgeable. We had so many questions and she could answer them all. More importantly, our questions turned into conversations about the history, culture, religion and life of Hong Kong. Amy had wonderful ideas about where to go and how to get there so we experienced many aspects of Hong Kong. Even though Amy clearly had a plan, she was very flexible and adapted easily to our interests and preferred pace. There was no canned pitch yet every minute seemed to be packed with information and new experiences. And, above all, Amy was fun to be with.

So, if you are looking for a great guide who knows Hong Kong and has great ideas about how to experience it while providing you with the kind of experience you want, reflecting your priorities, you will do well if you choose Amy. (I've already recommended her to friends visiting Hong Kong soon.)

I wasn’t sure what to expect out of this tour when I signed up, but wow! I wish I could live in Hong Kong to have such a variety to dine as a vegetarian regularly. If you are interested in becoming a vegetarian or vegan, or to expand your horizon on food and culture, this tour will change your life! Thank you for enlightening me! Highly recommend it!

What a fantastic afternoon we spent with Nadia. What she doesn't know about Hong Kong isn't worth knowing! A lovely lady – friendly, enthusiastic and great company. It felt like spending an afternoon with a friend – a very knowledgeable one! Everything she told us was interesting and the time on our four hour walking tour simply flew. There was such a huge variety of fascinating things to see, experience and learn about but Nadia paced everything perfectly, never overwhelming us with too many facts or making us walk for too long in the intense heat. Walking alternated with rides on the Ding Ding tram, the MTR and the Star Ferry so we never felt tired, in fact energised and keen to see more.
There were so many highlights on this tour and the icing on the cake was that Nadia emailed us later in the evening with a summary of everything we had done during our time with her, Plus suggestions of more things to see on our own in the following days. Unexpected and much appreciated.
Thank you so much Nadia for an afternoon of fascinating facts, amazing sights and experiences and a lot of fun. We could not have had a better or more charming guide.
