A dheap ferry ride from Hong Kong. Much quieter and more peaceful than Hong Kong. Take the cable car up to see great views

This place is beautiful, and one of the last fishing villages of China. Besides the giant Buddha that's really cool. The place has a good infrastructure for food and gifs.

Great little town, had yummy lunch and spent some time on the beach. There is walking paths around most of island, fairly flat and easy walking. Highly recommended

We regularly visit HK during holidays as it is relatively near manila. All of those would include ngongping.Going there is very easy by MTR tungchung line. Booked the cable cars online via Klook this time and saved time and money. The weather is very nice...More

Take a ride down to Tai O fishing village. Well worth a look. Also Triple Lanterns Cafe.

I don't know that it will be easy to do too much with a short layover. Probably just around Lantau island is safer
