Soho is the perfect area to go out in Hong Kong and to be part of a crazy party night. There are a lot of fancy and stylish pubs and bars and the people there are from all over the world. You should bring a huge wallet, because the drinks are more then expensive. If you´re in a group, your... More

A neighbourhood that is simply packed with a variety of restaurants and bars. Try the Globe hotel or the Peak Cafe where you can sit at the bar near the central escalators and do some "people watching" It would be a shame not to visit Soho when you are in HK

Friday night in Soho is excellent for strolling from bar to bar and trying beers from all over the world. You also have a choice of dozens of interesting cafes/restaurants with all types of cuisine.

Fashion and health minded people around, lively happy hour full of expats. It's a cool place to hang out, have brunch, lunch, dinner, coffee, eat health foods in the delicious vegetarian restaurants and health items shops.

I love Soho. In case you were wondering, it stands for South of Hollywood road. This is where all of the coolest/ trendiest bars and restaurants are. Also some great speakeasies!

Soho is whee you'll see thhe classic Hong Kong: smal seets, street vendors, hills, tower blocks, cafes, bars ... Make sure you do the big elevator ride up the hill, which is apparently the longest elevator ride in the world. It's divided into several stages, and is great fun. But be warned !!! It only goes one way. Onc you... More

Went on a Sunday late morning. A lot of the shops are closed, but there is still plenty to see - paintings on the side walls, antique shops, restaurants, eateries, road side stalls... You have a chance to walk up the steep slope or flight of stairs always seen on HK movies too. Or you can take the escalator up...... More

A big tip. Soho is a large area with excellent bars and restaurants. It is close to the PUB district which can be easily missed. The pub area is a must see as well.

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
