...you can be treated to a booming tradition that will make you jump. It’s not the easiest to find the way over the road (the underground walkway is down an alley by the shopping centre) but there’s a nice walk over to Victoria Park too.

I visited last week there.It was unfortunate weather.But Noonday Gun was held on noon. The big gun's sound sounded.I didn't bring earplug but noproblem.

This ritual is over in the space of 30 seconds, but if you like a little history. This is very much worth coming to see. The gardens area is opened up after the gun is fired, for about 30 minutes

It happens exactly at 12 noon. It is only fired once so if you arrive at 12.01 then you have missed it!
