Great place to visit. Be prepared to walk.

Beautiful place, there was a lot to see here and was very interesting. Be prepared to do quite a bit of walking to see everything but it is worth the walk.

This is a lovely mountain, best appreciated from the lake downtown. While the mountain is climbable, the path is rather steep and includes numerous stairs, which can be a bit too much to anyone not in shape.

Choose a day with low pollution and once you get to the top, it'll be worth it for the view. There is a lot to do on the site, just walk around and explore!

This is a great place to visit. It was a warm day, and I underestimated the number of stairs, but with a bottle of water, and my guide we got to the top. Very culturally significant place for the local people who had some enormous battles with enemies from the past. Make sure you pack the water, or buy one... More

Really enjoyed our hike through the forest with some amazing photos hang on display. Lots of shops and restaurants if you have plenty of time to linger and enjoy a meal.

This whole area is full of places to visit and explore! Ranging from a Ming Tomb to Monuments. If you really want to take time to go to all the attractions you will need at least 2 whole days. There is plenty of transportation available and even for wheel chair bound persons there is access. You just need to plan... More

This place is great to get away from the city for a while, actually its very close to the city center, about 20 minutes taxi drive. Be ready to climb a lot of stairs though!

Not good to go there on cloudy weather since you do not see nanjing city from top when it is cloudy.

The mountain is big and full of many attractions. I did not hike up the mountain due to the unfavourable weather and was more interested in visiting the attractions instead. The mountain can be easily accessed via the subway- Muxuyuan (line2). The ticket counter could be found at the exit point on the ground level. My trip was entirely based... More

There are a series of spots and attractions in the Purple Mountain area and some shuttle buses to take you between locations as well. The most impressive spot is the Dr Sun Yat-Sen's Mausoleum. Climb the mountain along the stairs and the mausoleum is on the top. I went there with cold and moist air. It was filled with a... More
