This area truly is interesting and the entire park will take you a couple of days (at least) to explore every nook and cranny and every path and sight. Most people come here for the Ming Tomb, The Sun Yat Sen Memorial and the Linggu...More

We got dropped off at the wrong entrance but had planned on taking the cable cars up. Instead went to the mosuelum and hiked up to the top from there. It is not a hike for the weak hearted or non-exerciser. But we did it...More

Coming down from this mountain was one of the hardest things we ever did. Let me explain. We decided to trek around, because the reviews warned us to be prepared for lots of walking. Nothing could prepare us for what we experienced. We wanted to...More

We've heard from Quite a few people that the Cable car has been stopped for repair for a period of more than a year, and the taxi driver was still not sure if it is started again after renovation, still we thought to pay it...More

Yes, I can agree with the goods and the bads of these other reviews. Like most all (if not all) Chinese parks, this place has paved trails everywhere so it's not as much a nature place as it could be. But, some of the walkways...More

Came here looking for a bit of respite from the crowds of the city, and while the area is generally quite beautiful I was greeted with pedestrian traffic jams just as bad as Xinjiekou. At every corner throngs and throngs of tourists. The purple mountain...More

A great day-trip escape from city office work. The park is a mix of monuments and trails through the trees. Walking can be strenuous especially in hot weather with a climb of about 450m to the summit ridge. Possible to stay in shade for a...More

Great travel experience, full of historic moments and interesting facts. The climb was pretty tough though-293 steps. Would recommend to people who like exploring but not to the elderly who have aching bodies.
