Whilst many parts of the Zoo are looking tired, the Primate Enclosure is one of the best I have seen and well worth a visit. Good value for money. Local food available inside the Zoo was also good

Don't expect to find some clean or pretty animals inside. Eventhough Ragunan Zoo is the only zoo in Jakarta, the quality of everything there is still far below standard. For those who have been to Singapore Zoo or Bali Zoo, would certainly find it disappointing....More

Not a must if you are on stringent timelines. A place to spend a lazy day, watching animals. Little over crowded on weekends.

Entrance is IDR4,000, and optional insurance is IDR8,000, making it about US$1 for day-pass. The special monkey exhibit is an additional IDR9,000. There are several options for tours and packages, which I have never tried... More

Yes, the last time I looked, there were seven Komodo dragons in a sunken enclosure near the hippos and elephants at the back of the zoo grounds. Visitors can get within about 3 meters of them, which is probably more than... More
