The old port of the Dutch city of Batavia, Sunda Kelapa is still an active coastal steamer harbor. It's well worth a visit.

An easy stroll along the quayside to look at these impressive wooden vessels. They used to be sail only but now combine diesel engines with wind power, whenever the wind is favorable.

Sunda Kelapa is Jakarta's old name and this is a 500 years old harbour. This is a busy old harbour in in the mouth of Ciliwung River, in North Jakarta.

No fish market in this area. But you can go to muara karang and there you can find more fishes and seafood - better in the afternoon.
