MAJESTIC MONUMENT

The MONAS was the one place we stopped by on our way back to our hotel. It looked spectacular and majestic. Would recommend to visit.

The park surrounding the monument is nice and peaceful so it's worth visiting even if you don't go up the monument itself (we didn't because the queue was very long). If you visit as a Westerner you will be approached repeatedly and asked to pose for photos with other visitors. It's fun and a great way to chat with the... More

A nice surprised that Monas opened at night...lucky us just gambling to stop over n yeayyy, we could go to the top. We're - me with my friend from all over the world- never go to the top of Monas. We found it interesting to see a night landscape of Jakarta.

A super LARGE Compound, very suitable for an escape from daily life and stresses. The Monument and the scene of the city makes a splendid background for taking pictures.

A couple of landmarks concentrated in this area. It's just across the National Museum and to its north-east are the Istiqlal Mosque and the... More

don't pay a visit during holidays, it'd be so crowded with visitors which consist mostly by children at school age. but this place surely worth a visit, many dioramas which explain Indonesia's history back from colonial age to post proclamation.

A nice tower, where you also are able to go up to the top but the way there is a bit complicated. You have to go to a gate next to the building, down the stairs, trough a tunnel to a ticket counter, then you go up again and walk to the building. There you have to queu and wait... More
