I like the place, I went there at least 2 times now. The guide will help you to learn about batik in general and also the royal family batik tradition in Yogya. The guide can speak English, which is a Plus and very helpful for foreigners. The ticket was a little bit pricey, but it is worth to visit!

My children and I love this museum. Listening to the guide's explanation about the life of javanese royal family is exciting. The museum painting is amazing. For those who wants to know the story about javanese king and his relatives, this museum is highly recommended.

Built and managed by a renowned architect its near the merapi and about 1 hour drive from yogjakarta city. Amazing collection of items relating to solo and yogjakarta royalty. The guide is excellent explaining the importance of items on displayed. Nestled between nice matured threes very cooling on a hot day to visit. Worth to go as its is just... More

A very good guided museum that would tell you a glimpse of the life of Kraton people (Javanese noble). Their collecting are fascinating... from original photograph, painting, batik, music instrument, and even a collection of love letter from the past. At the end of the trip they'll serve you with jamu awet muda (forever young herbal drink)...taste quiet good for... More

This museum is worth to visit. Can get lots of information about kraton yogyakarta background. The guide is so interactive. Just need to wait to get in during the peak season. The photo spot is very good. But the exit way to car park is need to be considered by the management.

Ullen Sentalu is a guided museum on Javanese history. Visitors are walked through the various rooms by excellent guides narrating the history of the Javanese kingdoms. A bit outside Yogya but worth the trip.

It is a well managed museum. Clean, tidy, and informative. I suggest to bring umbrella when it seems like it will rain because even though it is an indoor museum, you will have to move here and there. The museum staffs will not help you by offering free umbrella or rain coat. Instead, they will sell you a rain coat... More
