We did the trek through the Hapao rice terraces to the hot springs and it was awesome. We hired a guide from the tourism center in Hapao, he was so knowledgeable and kind. We learned a lot. My father is a bit older so walking...More

Having a guide is mandatory here. One tip is to leave from Banaue early. Around 8.30 departure latest will secure you being one of the first tourists to arrive here, and when you arrive at the hot spring you will have a private jaccuzzi. Otherwise...More

Do yourself a favour and do a trip here. Spectacular and not as crowded as Batad. The rice terraces are great and its worth continuing on to Hangduan. Highly recommend Hapao!!!

A good afternoon hike from Banaue. Trike took almost a hour to get there with fantastic views on the way up and down. For Hapao you go to another commune so you must pay the environmental fee again (50 PHP a person), plus the guide...More
