The Day was fully packed with everything that could entail in the life of the Philippines. With a range of information and ways of life included right from the start was amazing. Learning how to climb a coconut tree to using one in our meal that we then cooked and ate afterwards was fantastic. Understanding the culture and learning some basic tagalong words or creating palm leaf weaves was so fun. The hands on experience was amazing and went far beyond expectations of what I would have assumed to be a cultural experience!

The day was packed with lots of information about the local culture. It was also very hands on as we practiced palm leaf weaving, shaving coconuts, climbing a coconut tree, playing traditional games, dancing, decorating a bamboo shot glass and even made a local dish which we enjoyed for lunch. I came away with the decorated shot glass, a sample of fresh coconut oil and even purchased a cute turtle anklet! Would highly recommend to anyone who would like an insight into traditional Filipino culture. Thanks for a great day!

Mark and Shenny are so knowledgable and also a lot of FUN They provided so much info and different activities to try, the day flew, the food was amazing and the location was right on the beach. We played games, climbed coconut trees and got to take our own shot glass and pure coconut oil home. I learnt so much in such a short amount of time and was able to experience the Philippine culture in a different way. Highly recommend to anyone !

Mark and Shen made our group feel welcome from the moment we walked in. We kicked the day off learning how to climbing a coconut palm, followed by a cooking class and many other activities including traditional dances and games. Their knowledge of the Phillipines, it’s culture and it’s history was outstanding. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to scratch the surface and learn more about the country.
