Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited the museum early one morning. My husband loved it. He said it was very informative and he learned a lot about Palawan's involvement in the war. He would definitely visit again.
I had the 5 year old and we spent most of the time going from room to room so I could identify the different flags, uniforms and items for her. I didn't learn as much but was grateful there was plenty to keep her occupied (including the mayna birds outside), and staff who helped keep her entertained while telling me some history. Overall I think it was well done.

I love my history, and this hidden gem is tucked away, make sure to ask a tricycle driver to take you here. The staff are so friendly and have a wealth of knowledge to pass on. Only 50psp to enter but there is a donation jar too, defiantly happy to donate to places that share and pass of history.

For history buffs, this is the place to go, along with the POW camp nearby. While all parts of WW2 are covered, it mostly honors the deeds of the Filipino resistance movement, which controlled large swaths of countryside across the Philippines during the Japanese occupation. The nicely restored Willys is a joy to behold, which gave birth to the popular Jeepney. Many Filipinos are honored here. My only wish is that the museum would combine with the POW camp for a single display.

This "Museium" was introduced by Tourist Information Office. I walked 30 minutes to the place. In a simple building, various pictures, uniforms, light armaments, etc. The display is not highly systematic, it is hard to understand the concept. Nice as a promenade for me.

Interesting place to get some local perspective on the war which raged here. Good collection of uniforms, maps, weapons and memorabilia. Mrs. Marcos's ruby slippers also on display.

We pulled into parking area and instantly saw the 1950 American car, having walked closer a voice said get in the car but nobody about I thought I better ease up on the red horse. The voice was a parrot, caged and semi covered by a tree. Having entered and paid (40 pesos)we spent a good hour looking at all the artefacts, personal histories and stories of the people who were involved in WW2 locally. It is a real eye opener as I didn't know how involved the Philippines were. There is a wide range of things to see that will interest most people young and old. Do go and have a look it has been well put together.

Luckily, we found this place on a billboard, took a photo and decided to visit it - what a gem ! Its a real genuine museum with a full history of many incidents in WW2. Real stuff.... with War info from Japan, Philippines and some Philippine history thrown in.
A rewarding experience with a fabulous hostess explaining everything. One needs to take a tricycle as its a bit off the tourist track.
It costs buttons , and you can sit and photo a real 1943 Willis USA Jeep with radio, gun, the lot. If you are in Princesa this is a must go place, the real mccoy as opposed to the Princesa tourist rip -offs ( Honda bay & the Underground caves ) its located at the East end of Rizal street. A little museum complex with great history & memorabilia.

This little museum was very charming and an interesting visit if you have an hour or less to kill! They have many artefacts from WW2 and the Philippines/Japanese/American involvement in the war. The tour guides are very friendly and show you round the small museum for free. Definitely worth a visit if you love this type of history.

This museum looks a bit rough around the edges, but the variety of artifacts related to WWII, and specifically the information about the impact that the war had on the island, makes this a place definitely worth visiting during a trip to Puerto Princesa. One of the fun features is an old army Jeep that you can climb into - with camo jackets and hats provided by the museum - for a fun photo opportunity.

they need to improve the place. Add more epitaphs to read. Our tour guide is awesome, he showed us the tunnel and told us the story behind this place. It would be nice if there will be a short reading about the place for the tourist to know.
