Bat cave

I went deep of 150 ft to see bats and the water coming from the sea, not bad but I won't recommend it alot.

The trek inside the cave is longer than some caves I've been in. It was something different to do. The scenery leading up to the cave is awesome. My review is about Pangihan Cave on the mainland of Aklan.

This cave is no ordinary cave. Not because Batman is inside it (no he isn't!). A naturally created cave carved hundreds of years ago is a must-be-here and a must-see when you visit the island of Boracay. On top of these cave shows hundreds of bats flickering their wings within the day while hanging on the trees up-side down. You... More

You will find hundreds of fruit bats all around and inside this cave. This is a nesting ground for bats. Pretty cool place to see.

I visited the bat caves just at sunset. I had been told that the bats fly out of the caves at sunset. Sure enough out they came. So many that they almost turned the sky black.

The bat caves with their cliff-side forests are best appreciated from the sea. Hire a small speed boat or motor banca and hug the coast until you see thousands of these giant flying foxes hanging upside down waiting for dusk to feed on fruit and insects.

You need a guide to go there, otherwise they won't let you in. But you can come around on a motorbike trip. Becareful, the visit can be quite tricky, if not dangerous. It's slippery, dark, the tide can come up quickly. So even if the guide isn't really useful, just take it cause he knows the place better than you... More

Located on eastern side of Boracay Island, these are in bit bad shape and seems not visited frequently by tourists. We did not ventured inside, but from outside it was bit scary. Not suggested to go inside if you are with kids.
