I met several people in Manila telling me, Boracay is too busy now. I know Thailand well and Boracay is still well preserved, particularly white beach. I would recommend Station 1 for familes (but not close to the main road) and station 2 (further from the road) for single/couples as the first one are calm in the evening while station... More

Beach is lovely especially when the tide is in and sunset. Does have a bit of algae but expected that from other reviews so wasn't disappointed. Lots of people, but fortunately you aren't too bothered by hawkers on the beach until evening.

Currently there is a lot of algae. There weren't many people in the water today. I would recommend a trip to Yuma beach, a short 150 peso tricycle ride away for a lovely day out. No algae, plenty of beach lounges, and clear water.

Any chances to go to any other island by boat to avoid algae? It is really nice to see white sand and crystal clear water bit algae ruin everything.

White beach is all you imagined it to be plus a few hundred Chinese and Korean tourists who does not get in the water before sunset. I hope one day I can get back there. I love borcay because I took a bus from Iloilo then a 20min boat and I was in boracay looking at it's amazingly beautiful beach.... More
