The monorail, as they call it there, is a brilliant way to commute from one station to the another. As all the stations are surrounded by all the attractions, this provides one of the best means to commute.

This is Singapore's most expensive public transport, in my experience, and you are packed in with masses of people. You have to walk for ages through the mall to get to the Express from the MRT. It takes the same time to walk across to Sentosa on the boardwalk: it's nicer, and it's free.

We jumped on the Express to takes us to a large shopping centre where we spent a few hours before returning. It was a novel way to travel

Even if you choose to come by taxi you should take the Sentosa express trains inside sentosa. Offers awesome views, though walking too is fun

The Sentosa Express is a very economical way of getting to Sentosa. Yeah, there might be a bit of a queue. Very colorful and interesting monorails.Could be a bit crowded but you aren't going to spent a day in these monorails anyways. It does the basic job of providing fast transportation to Sentosa and back!

I initially thought that the only way to get to Sentosa was by the cable car, however when I arrived I suddenly discovered that they also had this mono-rail that takes you from the beach back to Vivocity where you can catch the MTR back into the city. Mind you, the train does get pretty packed, especially on a Saturday... More

The walk across the Sentosa boardwalk is easy and quick - however, the Sentosa Express will get you to and from the island quickly if you need to. It can get busy and crowded so be prepared for that - especially at peak times.

Unfortunately, the Sentosa Express can get very crowded and waiting lines can be very long (on the way back mostly). Steep price of $4 per person.
