Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Being a local Singaporean, I do not normally visit any museum here. I was attracted to this particular museum because of its Instagrammable exterior.
The museum is very small. I have thought it will only take us 10 minutes to finish seeing everything inside. However, as soon as the guided tour started. Every sections of the display become so interesting and we ended up spending 1.5 hours instead.
Overall, it was a nice experience. The staffs are very friendly. It is instagrammable both inside and outside of the museum. You will find the visit worth your penny!

Nice private collection. A few videos are available to explain further in addition to what the guide describes.
You can spend one good hour to visit this museum.

Paying $20 is quite overpriced to see a large collection of cameras, some of which in actually bad conditions, with some large pieces missing in the history of photography: gentle and helpful staff, but hard to qualify as a "museum".

A great place to come with family in understanding the development of cameras. A largest and heaviest camera can also be found in the museum.

The museum is quite expensive to visit and not very large. However it has been very well laid out and the entrance is unusual. You will need to be interested in cameras of course to visit. There is a quide that explains information on the cameras to you and you can of course take photos. All the cameras are behind class screens so you cannot handle any. They do give a discount to older citizens.

In Singapore, there is a photo camera museum around the Arab neighbourhood. The museum is very easy to find, as the building looks like a giant camera. Guests enter via the lens. Only to find out credit cards are not accepted and one has to buy a ticket online.

Not accepting credit cards isn't the only problem the camera museum has. While the collection is extensive, camera's a small and therefore the museum consists of just one room (that smells like very aggressive chemicals). The room is filled to the brim with camera's and there's plenty of explanation to teach the visitor about the history of photography.

Again: I understand that camera's don't take up much space and therefore it isn't necessary to have a big building. But 20 sgd for a one room museum is a bit steep.

It was a great breather away from the hustle and bustle, and heat on the streets. We spent around 2 hours in the museum learning about vintage cameras with a very friendly guide and his son. It was fun, educational and entertaining, we had an awesome time hanging out with them. You will also get the chance to have a hands-on feel with some of the vintage cameras too! The guide was absolutely amazing and took great pictures of us! Thanks for the warmth extended! A must visit if you're around the area! 😊

I visited the musuem alone because i have never visited it before.the admission is quite costly, 20dollars per person. But fave having promotion, 8dollars per pax.musuem is very high, must beware of stairs to the entrance. Very quite place, very friendly and knowledgeable receiptionist. He will explain the features of some cameras the videos played on tv. Most important he can advise where to take best photo shot.
