Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Today we left the Raffles City Convention Hall with disappointment and a bitter aftertaste, as together with my consultant, we were being turned away from the public space where there were empty seatings and stopped by the ground staff for even using the public toilet – simple because we were in t-shirt and Bermudas.
From the nature of our work, we had been booking these premises (and even recommended our clients this location); but its distasteful to learn such discrimination from the ground staff simply because we were not in our business attire.

Today, my consultant and I left the Raffles City Convention Hall feeling deeply disappointed and disheartened by an unpleasant experience. We were unexpectedly turned away from a public space that had numerous empty seats and was even stopped by the ground staff when attempting to use the public restroom—simply because we were dressed in t-shirts and Bermudas (too sloppy to the eyes of the ground staff). We certainly did not appreciate the tone and how we were being shouted at.

As part of our work, we frequently book and recommend this venue to our clients, so we’ve always held the Raffles City Convention Hall in high regard. However, this experience has left a bitter aftertaste, as we encountered blatant discrimination based solely on our attire. We were treated as though we didn’t belong in the space, even though the area was open and we didn’t know that the “dress code” played a part in accessing the place.

It’s frustrating to face such unfair treatment, especially when we’ve always been professional in our dealings with the venue. The ground staff’s lack of courtesy and respect and the way we were made to feel unwelcome were both unnecessary and disheartening.

I sincerely hope the management of Raffles City Convention Hall takes this feedback seriously and works to ensure that all visitors—regardless of their attire—are treated with the respect they deserve.

Was there for a meeting with almost 2000 participants. So the main problem was the lack of toilets! On the 4th floor, there were 2 stalls in each of the ladies’ toilets- definitely not enough. In the main hall on the 4th floor, there were some toilets that were hidden behind some grubby doors and poorly maintained with broken locks and dirty/wet floors. Being in Singapore, I expected better.
Signages to the various rooms were not clear- but that may be the fault of the conference organisers nit to put up extra signs. Relying on the signs in the Convention Centre itself was not great as they were small and not plentiful.
The food provided was reasonable, but you have a wide choice in the mall next door.
However, in the evenings, there seemed to be members of the public who are allowed to congregate around the corridors/spaces outside the conference rooms and some looked as if they were eating and drinking on the floor. It didn’t feel professional and they were also using the very limited toilet facilities.

In wandering through Sun Tec & the Convention Center, I came across the Food Court. First time I tried Japanese, not wanting to risk my dinner. However, the other stalls have local Singaporean dishes that I tried on three different nights. It will take you time to decide what you want. Food or pictures look good, and I would say, everything should also taste good.

My recommendation is to skip dishes that you find in your country, and try the local dishes. Believe me, they are worth it.

You can have dinner from 6-8 Singapore dollars, not including a drink. Very affordable food, excellent quality and flavors.

I tried Lau Pau Tsa on my first day, based on recommendation from the taxi driver. Maybe I ordered the wrong dish (most likely), but did not come back to this place - not to mention being outdoors in the hot-humid Singapore weather. The Food Court at the Conference Center is cleaner, and better. When you see how crowded it is, you'll know why.

The place is very big w many smaller rooms for organizing events. The place is in the same building w the shopping centre. Many eateries are available. One of the ways to improve is to upgrade ur toilets as there r no bidets in the toilet. Ive seen every good building have at least tried to put bidets in their toilet. Please do so so tt the visitors will get the convenience. Thank you.

In fact there are really only malls in Singapore. Not much else to do but walk around malls. Haven’t quite figured out the appeal of Singapore yet. It’s a nice mall. But it’s a mall

The convention center complex was very modern. It also has a full mall attached with plenty of places to shop and eat. It seemed somewhat upscale to me. A nice place.

My business partners and I attended a food and beverage convention there. It was huge, spacious, modern, clean and honestly just an amazing place for a convention. Lots of shopping and lots of restaurants and small eateries. The car park is humongous but well lit and with proper signage. Just an another amazing place in Singapore. What an awesome building.
