The Red Dot Design Museum will closed its operations at 28 Maxwell Road for the refurbishment of the Red Dot Traffic Building. Last day for all exhibitions will be on 31 March 2017.

The largest design museum in Asia, Red Dot Design Museum Singapore is an unique attraction and place of interest in Singapore that brings visitors to discover and appreciate design and creativity within and beyond the museum compounds. It has 3 Winners Exhibitions on Product, Communication and Conceptual Design that present the best of designs today and futuristic design ideas for tomorrow. On the 1st or 2nd Friday of each month, the museum hosts MAAD (Market for Artists And Designers), Singapore's longest and largest recurring creative marketplace. The Red Dot Design Museum is also one of the key attractions featured in the Singapore Design District Mobile App -- A self-touring guide that brings users beyond the traditional tourist spots, and to the clusters of interesting and creative places of interests, and must-go attractions located near the vicinity of the museum. Download the App, find out where to go and discover the hidden gems.

Although we knew this place existed and intended to visit it at some time we accidentally found it whilst exploring Chinatown as it is slightly off the main tourist area. There is an entrance fee but the enormous range of designs inside make it worthwhile. There were so many innovative problems I didn't know I needed or wanted until my... More

Interesting exhibit, particularly if you work in the world of consumer packaged goods. About an hours worth of browsing and well worth the stop.

This is a nice little museum right near the CBD. I like it because it was quiet and wasn't crowded and you could walk around easily without people bumping into you. It is also a small entrance fee of SGD 8. If you are a student, I think there is a discounted rate. They encourage you to interact and take... More

This building has an unique design and near to singapore city gallery. The place was quite quiet and few people came. If you still have alot of time to stay, just try to visit this place and have a chat with your friends or family here.

Quite refreshing but also a bit limited. Displays and exhibits are interesting if you like design and design evolution. The place is well laid out. And the staff are accommodating and professional. And the admission is quite affordable (paid 18 S$ for 3).
