Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Loved this place when I chanced upon it as I walked alongside the river. Good for clicks and selfies. Nice oasis amidst the concrete jungle.

Discovered this area a couple of years ago when waiting for documentation from ICA to be ready and had some free time. It's easily accessible from the Lavender MRT station and you can walk in one direction towards the Kallang station and in the other direction to Marina Promenade. The pathway is lined with beautiful trees and it is nice and shady. You get a good view of the stadia & also of some fishermen! Nice place to escape from the crowds.

After leaving Kallang MRT Station, we crossed the Kallang Road and walked towards Sir Arthur's Bridge and took the underpass to arrive at Kallang Riverside Park (East). This park is beside the Kallang River. There are toilet facilities and water cooler here. We walked up the staircase to the pedestrian walkway of Merdeka Bridge. Coming down from Merdeka Bridge, we were greeted by a passionate gardener's home grown garden "Garden By the Waters".

There are two possible routes here: Marina Promenade or Kallang Riverside Park( West ). We walked along the passageway under the Merdeka Bridge to the West side of Kallang Riverside Park which is beside the Rochor Canal. Crossing the Rochor Link leads us to Kallang Riverside Park ( North ).

The gas holder structure of the former Kallang Gasworks was left here to commemorate the Gasworks which was built in 1862 to supply piped gas. The Senoko Gasworks takes over its function and Kallang Gasworks was retired in 1997. There is a shelter here beside the carpack facing the Kallang River. It appears to be an ideal picnic spot with the view, nearby carpack and toilet facilities. Best of all, this park is tranquil, scenic and in the heart of town.

I've been cycling through this park each week during the 2.5 months of the lockdown in SIngapore. Great views out over the Kallang River and the Stadium on the other side. Can get busy in peak times, but still good for cycling.

This park is connected seamlessly to the Marina Promenade and it also leads to the Sports Hub as well as the Geylang park Connector. The nearest mrt station is the Kallang mrt station. Actually I started my walk early one morning from Marina Promenade (nearest mrt is Promenade station). The walking path is beside the Marina Reservoir. Marina Promenade soon leads to Kallang Riverside Park after walking under the Merdeka Bridge. There is a great view of the Sports Hub from this park. One can also cross the Sir Arthur's Bridge to access the Katong Riverside Park which is near to the Sports Hub. There is a structural remain of the former Kallang Gasworks which was built in1862. Kallang Gasworks was no longer in use as gas production was relocated to Senoko Gasworks in 1997. There is a carpark and toilet facilities here even though the park is quite small. There are also some picnic benches and an exercise area.
