About
City Square Mall, located at the junction of Serangoon and Kitchener Roads, sits on the site of Singapore's historic New World Park. Having close proximity to Little India, one of the Top 5 must-see tourist spots, with direct connection to Farrer Park MRT station, it hopes to attract both local and tourist shoppers. With over 700,000 sq ft of gross retail space, spread over five retail levels, two basements and four levels of lifestyle services, it is home to about 200 tenants that caters to the lifestyle needs of today's discerning mid-income families. Offering a wide array of value-for-money merchandise and services, exciting promotional activities, street fare as well as international cuisine, City Square Mall is envisioned as a miniature 'town-centre' which provides the perfect setting for the community to meet, play and shop while acquiring an eco-learning experience.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Average mall with reasonable air conditioning. A little short on toilets and more fences than the Grand National!!!
Everything is fenced off - looks like it’s been laid out together by an obsessive compulsive individual more than a Covid aware individual. Even the Christmas tree and decorations outside all fenced and the seating adjacent to the children’s play area.
I wanted to visit Decathlon and that was fruitful.
Better off going to a more central mall.

This was close to our Metro stop, so we walked through a couple of times. I appears to be rather ordinary mall.
But we did stop at its grocery store a couple of times and found its prices relatively lower than most Singapore shops.

We visited this family-friendly mall during our Christmas holidays in Singapore which had many shopping outlets and a wide choice of food too. What we enjoyed the most; was the local food choice at the food court on top floor, which had a nice ambiences and economical.

The mall is located at little india with many facilities.
New and big mall with international brands to shop from.
There was a huge sale at the atrium during my stay in singapore. Managed to spend money wisely.

The mall is currently undergoing major renovations. Not a pleasant shopping experience at present. With so many malls to choose from, I’d give this one a miss for now.

One of the finest shopping experience in little India area. Quite big and offers all sort of comfort and luxury together for the customers. Its sure that once you enter into it, you wont be able to come out in next 4-6 hrs...

This mall is located at the vicinity of Little India. Best place for shopping. There is a $2 shop Daiso at level 4. There is a theatre at level 5. Lot of eataries at level 1 and basement 1. Clothes brands like uniqlo and cotton on are at level 1. Can spend 3 hours here.

Indian visitors who stay around Kitchener road generally shop in Mustafa.
But this has changed as they find the stuff in Mustafa quite substandard.
The city square mall is a positive welcome.
This is an upmarket mall where the stuff is quite good albeit slightly pricey.
The new Japanese supermarket Don Don Donki is a great attraction. You get all the variety of Japanese products. It's a big superstore.
Wish I had more time to spend here.

No there aren't, but you can head to Plaza Singapura (just 2 stops away if you take the purple line). There is a shop which sells loads of k pop stuff at Toy Outpost (the highest level of the mall)

Is there some kind of store where we can purchase electronic items here?
Written 15 June 2018
There are few shops selling electrical appliances. But if you are looking for mobile phones etc, walk from Little India MRT station to Farrer Park MRT station. There are plenty of those shops in that area.
