Almost missed this little memorial

Situated within the Esplanade Park, however we almost missed it. Nice historical story of the background of Gen Lim Bo Seng. Do take the time to read the plaque

This memorial is smaller than others in Singapore and could easily be missed by passerby as the area has some construction at the moment. The memorial commemorates a man who was tortured to death by the Japanese during their occupation of the island during WW2. To me the memorial was both beautiful and a reminder of how unnecessarily horrible humans... More

The monument isnt really impressive to look but, but the significance to the history of Singapore is great. Great way to educate the children about the people who stood for Singapore and tell the story of this great man. Some key stories to share would be Force 136, Operation Gustavus and Operation Zipper. Thank you Sir.

This memorial is locate at Esp,Amadeus park, near The Padang. The memorial was erected to commemorate war hero, Mr Lim Bo Seng. Although we are loving in peaceful times, we should remember those who were here before us and what they have done for Singapore.

This is another memorial in the Esplanade vicinity to commemorate events relating to the Japanese occupation. It's worth a few minutes here to read the history and appreciate the contribution made in resisting the Japanese during WW2.

Most visitors to Singapore will not go out of their way to the reservoir at McRitchie to see a small memorial stone erected to someone most non Singaporean would not have heard of. A small pagoda about Lim Bo Seng, is situated near the Cenotaph, Esplanade on the bay and Tan Kim Seng Fountain, is about a world war 2 hero, a general , who was caught later and was killed by the Japanese. Those into history of world war 2 will find this interesting, those not can still enjoy the scenery. Open... More

More of a mini city than a neighbourhood in the traditional sense, the iconic Marina Bay aims to dazzle and entertain visitors of all kinds. This is the Singapore found in glossy brochures, featuring a world-class hotel, casino, shops, restaurants, bars, and other attractions all geared towards pure entertainment. The SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands provides a stunning view of the city, a must-see photo opportunity for visitors and locals alike. The ArtScience Museum always has a top-quality exhibition, and Gardens by the Bay is a fascinating manifestation of the government’s vision of Singapore as a “city in a garden”.
