It’s no wonder why St Andrew’s Cathedral is one of Singapore’s most treasured works of architecture. Gazetted as a national monument on 1973, you’ll stand in awe at its majestic facade, with extended pinnacles and a glossy white exterior.

Attractive building and very peaceful

A very pleasant building in the heart of the city and in contrast to a lot of the city. A place of worship.

A beautiful Anglican church built by convicts in the 1800s. Go in for a quiet time and admire the architecture.

Most people come across the cathedral as they walk by. Its well used by the locals. So if you want to see a good community church and not a tourist ruin this is worth a visit. Nothing spectacular about it, just a very pleasant escape from the heat and noise for some nice contemplation of the soul.

Our fist attempt to visit was unsuccessful as the nave was closed for repairs. Went back the next day and the first thing we noticed was how busy the environs were with community activities. The church itself was quite full of people sitting in contemplation. It's not a huge cathedral but lovely and light.

A beautiful place. Stop by at any time of the day. You will experience a sense of peace. And the cathedral does make for good pictures.

In Singapore you find all religions. The church is beautifully crafted and very crowded on Sunday's . It's nice to visit and see from inside . Get good vibrations .

This review is quite late. During one of my trips to Singapore I had the opportunity to hear mass at St. Andrew's Cathedral which attracts a huge crowd of Catholic devotees.

Situated in the centre of Singapore, standing on a grassed lawn the church, built in the 1800's, stands out from the modern skyscrapers and is a constant reminder of the colonisation of Singapore. Whilst not as grandiose as European churches, it is still beautiful in its unique way and standing inside it's easy to be transported back to the time... More

St Andrew's Cathedral, once a prominent landmark in central Singapore City, is now dwarfed by the surrounding skyscrapers of Singapore's financial district. But its all-white exterior catches your attention as you drive or walk past on St Andrews Road. The original St Andrew's Church was built in 1835 and the second was built in 1842. It was demolished in 1855... More
