It’s no wonder why St Andrew’s Cathedral is one of Singapore’s most treasured works of architecture. Gazetted as a national monument on 1973, you’ll stand in awe at its majestic facade, with extended pinnacles and a glossy white exterior.

We on our first downtown adventure and knew this was in the area. Not difficult to find. It isn't bolstered by gilded stuff. It is a simple wonderful community church that happens to be a Cathedral. The prayer books are in about 5-6 languages. There is a sign posted inside the door if you need someone to talk to or... More

If you are visiting Singapore on a Sunday, a visit to St Andrews Cathedral is a must to attend one of the seven services, so there is no excuse. The Cathedral is beautifully looked after and everyone is so helpful and polite. A truly wonderful place to visit, and it's good to see it hasn't changed since I worked in... More

This sparkling white cathedral is situated near City Hall overlooking a rugby ground. It is surrounded by modern high rise. We went to a Sunday morning service which had a large attendance but still managed to feel fairly intimate. Worth a visit for a service or just to appreciate the peace and tranquillity of the place.

Definitely not the most impressive church in the world, but really stands out amid all the skyscrapers and modern buildings. Upon arrival it seems that the church was actually closed. In fact the main entrance is closed and you have to enter via the marquee which is at the car park side of the church. It is still a functioning... More

Went and couldn't find an entrance or anything it all appeared closed off! Sat outside on the bench and looked at it - not sure if there are set times when it's open but I went during the day on a weekday!

This is one of the most iconic religious building in Singapore and it is still in service. Both the interior and exterior are beautiful and it's easily reachable by MRT (City Hall) and also buses as it is located in the city centre.

Quiet place to sit down and have a rest while admiring the architecture. Good escape from the noisy and bustling environment of the city outside. Great for photos and abit of history. Staff are friendly to visitors and would give short tours of the place. The entrance to the Cathedral is located next to the City Hall MRT station and... More

This church is situated right in the center of action, surrounded by malls and hotels. Old and beautiful church and visitors can simply walk in to enjoy the tranquility this place has to offer.
