This building has been under renovation for some time. Presumably it will be ready some time in 2015 before National Day. Certainly photo opportunities are likely to be substantially better once renovations are complete.

There's nothing unique about this building, other than the fact that it dates back to the early 20th century. Part of it was actually an extension of the nearby Raffles hotel once, but not anymore. Today it's just another classic building.

Is this the most wonderful building since sliced cheese? YMMV. But, after tearing down much of its heritage buildings and neighbourhoods, it's nice to see several remaining buildings *not* torn down.
