Reliable and Convenient
Jul 2021 • Couples
The Best Cruise Centre. Immigration and Custom clearance convenient with helpful ICA officers. One of the nicest Cruise Centre, I've visited and during the pandemic it was not a hassle getting through the customs and boarding the Royal Caribbean- Quantum Of The Seas Cruise Getaway. All stations, go through temperature screening and Identity checks. It was fast and convenient.

Unfriendly for Handicapped - yet again no improvement
Mar 2021
Just debarked from Quantum of the seas after a 3 days cruise to nowhere.
As in my last review of the MBCCS in November 2016. We are seniors, within reach of 70s soon. One with a lumbar stenosis problem and the other with a total hip replacement. The management doesn't practice humanity at all.
After exiting the Custom Inspection area, as we walk towards the exit gate, there were some seats we sat and I was trying to make a call to my son who was coming to pick us to come into the pickup area. Before I can make the call, a lady came to shoo us away. Saying we can't sit at these seats and must go outside to wait. However I could not see any seating outside the terminal. With such instructions given from the management to the operating staff, to me personally, the management have no thoughts for the handicapped.
At the same time, when I tried reaching their hotline, to my surprise there isn't.
Only way to reach MBCCS, is through emailing. What a robotic culture built.

Port of Call for Dreams
Dec 2019
I think a trip onboard a cruise ship starts at the terminal itself. A few cruise lines dock here, but we have always travelled on the Genting Dream. I have been on five cruises in the last two years and I must say that the new Marina Bay Cruise Centre was the perfect start to our journey. The lines were swift and immigration was a breeze. Only Changi Airport is smoother, but they are the best in the world. Access to the Cruise Centre is very easy by the MRT or Taxi. Departure is less smooth as the directional signs are unclear for the first time visitor. And in the confusion, you are usually touted by the Maxicab drivers as you exit the terminal doors into the parking lot basement with your luggage. These transports appear to be your only choice, but just say "no thank you" and keep talking forward to the taxi stand which is about 200 metres at the end of the parking lot past the buses. You can also walk a little further and make your way to the MRT station which is about half a kilometre away, it has a covered walkway so there is shade from the sun. I think the departure exit is the only area where the Cruise Centre needs some needed improvement. Especially after a first class cruise experience as you enter into Singapore.

Easy to get to/from via taxi
Feb 2020
It was easy and inexpensive to take a taxi to the cruise center from local hotels. But the taxis to take you from the cruise center are a walk away. Instead there's a transfer service. It cost 55 Singapore$ to the airport. Pricey, but with plenty of vehicles, relative to taxis but very convenient. Still cheaper than anything in the US.

Cruise Terminal
Jan 2020 • Friends
This was a reasonably sized cruise terminal which we used when on the Celebrity Millennium Cruise ship.
It is very clean as one would expect in Singapore and there are plenty of limo or large taxis waiting for you to go into the city or to the airport. Convenient but quite expensive.
But - it isn’t too far to walk to the metro (just walk past the taxis to the right and you will see the signs) - a covered walkway that will go direct to the metro past gardens and your cruise ship.
The metro is inexpensive and flat with many lifts to all platforms - tickets can be purchased there or topped up.
There could do so much more with the terminal though for the cruise ships.

Beware of the limo taxi scam
Jan 2020
Beware if you are looking for a taxi when you disembark from a cruise at Marina Bay Cruise Centre. When you come out of the cruise terminal, you will see a line of smart ‘limousine taxis’ conveniently lined up. The minimum charge for a ride in one of these is 55 Singapore dollars. But if you keep walking straight ahead for about another 70 – 80 metres, you will find another line of ordinary taxis at the back of the terminal, which will be much cheaper. Don’t fall for the scam of paying for a limousine taxi when you do not need to.

Another annoyance at this cruise terminal is the queuing procedure for immigration formalities. At first everyone is lined up in a long snaking line which moves slowly but steadily forward as people are processed. But when you get near to the front of this line, you will brusquely directed to join a shorter line for an individual immigration desk. There might be 2-3 people ahead of you at that desk. Too bad for you if one of those people has a problem, you will just have to stand there and wait while other people who were behind you in the single line get processed at other desks and leave.

There is no post box at Marina Bay Cruise Centre for mailing postcards or anything else. Make sure you have mailed any letters or postcards before you go to the cruise centre.

Quantum of seas
Jan 2020 • Couples
The cruise is extremely good. The ship is neat and clean and worth it. The worst part is that they charge in US dollars for everything which becomes quite costly for indians. North star a facility to view the entire seas and which was free till November 19 has become chargeable and they charge 8 dollar for a eight minute ride. Why charge for everything when you are charging so much for the cruise. They also charge extra around 70 dollars on account of gratuities which is basically tip to the staff. It is advisable to take balcony rooms as the view is mind boggling. Rather on the whole the charges are extremely high. They have a inbuilt off shore prog like when the ship anchors they take you offshore and I took james bond island at phuket for which I was charged us 108 dollars plus 18 dollars as visa handling fees hence if we convert to indian rupee it comes to rs 8000 per person just for the visit of 9 hrs.the boatman never took us near the island on the pretext that the tide is low hence rs 8000 went down the drain.. The ship always reaches at the same time at Phuket hence charging so much and the organizers not being able to show the island is being cheated. Hence people going with them should first ascertain the total charges for the offshore program. Their restaurant at 14 deck windjammer totally stinks and it becomes difficult to dine for vegetarians. No wifi is provided unless you purchase the same from them and it is really expensive. The immigration and customs on arrival takes more than the airport time as I had to waste more than two hrs for the immigration check. Rather though they claim to be systematic in respect to checking out of passengers on arrival at the port , the process is hardly systematic. It is time consuming. For ladies there is no changing room at the swimming pool hence a problem for indian ladies. Proper directions at the ship is simply missing. Staff not very conversant with english hence it becomes difficult to communicate and with no wifi it becomes extremely difficult to communicate with your friends if you are lost. Overall it is really very good if you can afford it as in the end the charges are extremely high as they charge you on one pretext or the other.

Used for cruising on Quantum of the seas

Really clean terminal close to nearby hotels, check in and security was a bit unorganized with some unnecessary queing, could do with following Ft Lauderdale or Miami's lead on the whole process.
