My husband and I had a wonderful, wonderful time sea kayaking with Dan. He provided all of the equipment to stay dry and warm in the cool breezes off the coast. He was very knowledgeable about the area and sea life that we spotted. The homemade lunch was delicious and hit the spot after an active day on the water.
We booked with Falklands Outdoors because they are dedicated to giving a great experience based on weather. Knowing this was our only day on the island, we wanted to book with a company that could provide a fun, memorable day--which we certainly got! I would highly recommend booking with this family run business that is dedicated to giving you a great experience :)

We spent three weeks in the Falkland Islands back in January and had contacted Dan beforehand by email to enquire what might be possible. Even before we got to FI, Dan was super helpful and gave us plenty of ideas for things to do.
Once we arrived, Dan was able to help us with rental of tent, sleeping bags & Karrimats. This enabled us to go out camping in the garden of the School at North Arm for some amazing Southern Hemisphere Starwatching!
Dan was really flexible to accommodate us at short notice when our airbridge flight home was changed. We made a great trip down to Whale point and saw the biggest Elephant seals ever!!!
Lastly, as a finale (& when the wind and tides were in the right direction), we made a wonderful late afternoon sea kayak trip down the Murrell River, seeing penguins swimming alongside the kayaks, through the kelp beds to see more penguins on the beaches, through the Narrows and finishing as the Sun set close to the Lady Liz! Memorable from End to End!

Myself and five friends of differing kayaking ability (three of us, including myself, had never kayaked before) went on a half day sea kayaking trip and it was absolutely incredible. Dan picked us up from our hotel and drove us to his home to get kitted up. The gear was top quality, comfortable, and in excellent condition. He explained the plan for the day showing us the route on a map and giving us options depending on our preference. He and his family then drove us to the beach where after a safety briefing we launched. We saw so much wildlife, stopping to be served a hot drink and homemade cake next to a small colony of king penguins. Best picnic ever. And then as we finished up for the day were surrounded by a pod of Peale's dolphins swimming around and underneath our kayaks. I will never forget that for the rest of my life. Dan seems like a genuinely lovely guy, calm and explaining things clearly for beginners, which definitely calmed any nervousness I had, and he frequently checked along the way that everyone was okay and happy and having a good time without being intrusive. The whole experience of him and his family was one of them going above and beyond to be helpful and provide flawless customer service. I honestly think it was the best tourist experience of my life and wish I could give more than 5 stars. You'd be a fool to visit the Falklands and not go on a Falklands Outdoors experience. Thank you so much Dan and co.

We heard about Falkland Outdoors from our colleagues who had booked on with Dan previously and they couldn't reccomend him enough.
6 of us booked on a few weeks later and we couldn't have asked for a better day around the Island. Dan went above and beyond to make sure we gained the most of the day, from providing the right kit to a cheeky slice of homemade cake and hot beverage.
Dan is super professional and knowledgeable and anyone would have the best day with him. It's pretty incredible that's he's also started to pioneer the Outdoor Adventure scene in the Falkland Islands. There's so much potential and scope for it to become and adventure playground. Absolutely psyched to see how Dan and his team will grow and develop over the coming years. Watch this space for sure! ✌🤙

Dan took us on a fantastic sea kayaking tour. Was a very enjoyable day and we were lucky to bump into a pod of dolphins and then a herd of sea lions not to mention all the seabirds flying over us in the bay. The trip is broken up with a nice cup of tea or coffee and homemade flapjack where we could recharge and just relax a little and take in the scenery. Would definitely recommend this to anyone as Dan takes you through all there is to know about kayaking and we all felt confident in the water. Really was a great day.

I have been lucky enough to experience both kayaking and hiking with Falkland outdoors, both times I was accompanied by a group of teenagers. I cannot speak highly enough of the team, utterly professional, kind and knowledgeable, with seemingly unending patience. Honestly fabulous all round. I look forward to more adventures in the future.

We did three trips with Dan and his team - Volunteer Point for the penguins, Kelp Point for the elephant seals and a sea kayaking expedition.
All three were very well organised and expertly guided in a very friendly and engaging way. We learned so much about the Falklands talking to Dan and his team, about the wildlife but also the history and culture of the Islands. Generously, they
also gave us excellent advice for trips we did on our own which helped us enjoy the Falklands even more.
We couldn't pick a favourite but the sea kayaking was a unique way to see the wildlife and an overall great experience.
I thoroughly recommend the team and if I do come down again will certainly do some more trips with Falklands Outdoors.

Went sea kayaking and Dan was an excellent guide. Just fantastic to have both dolphins and penguins swim not only next to the kayak but also under the kayak. Went out to the tussack islands and got ashore for a cup of warm coffee and cake before heading back towards the shore - and along the way coming across even more dolphins who swam alongside the kayak for a while.
Dan himself is highly knowledgeable about the area and very pleasant to spend time with.
If you are in the Falklands you should really look up Dan for an amazing experience.

We had a great day on the eBikes around the Stanley area of the Falklands. The terrain wasn’t too difficult, especially on the eBikes. Dan broke up the trip really well with riding and informative walks. We were able to see lots of wildlife (Gintoo/Magellanic/King penguins, other birds, sea lions), almost all without anyone else around. We learned about the Falklands history from a generational Falklander in Dan, who obviously loves this unique place on Earth. Thank you for a truly memorable day.

Wow, a great paddle round the two Tussock Islands near cape Pembroke. Dan has some great Kayaks, felt very safe, good briefing. Some interesting swell. The wild life was amazing just to float by some Bull Sea Lions, some Flightless steamer ducks. Surrounded by Penguins as they popped up from a dive.

Heh we are going to be in Port Stanley on the Viking Jupiter on Thu December 19th this year.Unfortunately for us we were unable to get a shot at booking a tour to the 1982 battlefield since by the time our turn came it was sold out.Can you oblige us, we are two.

I actually did not book a tour. I got off our cruise ship and there were locals who gave us a tour. It was a lot cheaper and he took us around to the penguins and some trails. I had a great time and since he lived there he knew all the places to look. More knowledge of the area and knew the side roads

Hi Susan. Yes we can definitely organise a tour for the three of you on the 16th of January. I’m sorry but we don’t run trips to volunteers as it is a really long journey and we don’t believe it makes the most of the day. We do run a Berthas Beach trip where you will see Gentoo and Magellanic penguins. There is also an opportunity with another provider we work with to see rockhoppers which we could look into for you.
We also offer mountain biking and kayaking where you will also get to see wildlife and penguins.
