My husband and I had the most amazing day on this tour! Our driver was awesome, so informative and a proud Islander! Perfect sized group, great weather, soooo many penguins! Would highly recommend this tour! Timing was great - although cruise ship folks all need to have their act together to get off on the earliest tenders to not negatively impact others on the tour. Just a fabulous home- grown tour. Adrian, fyi, you could charge a lot more $$ for this experience - it is just awesome!!

Adrian is the owner of Murrell Farm and knows all the sites. There are four separate penguin species and lots of other birds. The site is close to Stanley, yet gives a real sense of life in Camp, with some off road driving. Kidney Cove is a beautiful place with pink sand and dunes filled with Sea cabbage plants. I also got taken to enjoy the fine views from Look Out Hill, seeing the old gun position there. If you have a limited time on the islands, yet want to see outside of Stanley, this is the trip for you. Thoroughly recommended.

Beautiful scenic drive to see penguins. Note, half the time is spent driving in 4x4 to see penguins. Operators took care to make us comfortable.

Had a great experience at the Rockhopper cabin. Only 100ft from a colony of rockhopper penguins, one of 4 colonies nearby. A penguin with attitude, they didn't seem phased by us being there and were quite curious at times. Walking for around 90mins and you come to Kidney Cove cabin, where there is abeautil beach with Gentoo, King's and Magellenics, a really awesome experience for all. Fully recommend an overnight stay in one of these basic but clean cabins.

They have just started the tours again and this was now the best Penguin tour ever ! We managed to see 5 species of penguin ( Rockhopper , Magellanic, King , Gentoo and a single Macaroni ) . The driver Paul was very friendly and gave us the history of the area and we managed to visit several colonies using off road Landrovers for approx 5 hours on Adrian Murell’s farm Recently with all the mines now cleared he has now discovered 2 more penguin colonies on his land ! We have travelled the world looking for penguins and this has to be the best tour we have ever taken . They supply food and drink and will tailor the tour so you can spend as much time with each type of penguin , finishing finally with a great photo opportunity of our cruise ship

We had the most wonderful day, a superb tour so many penguins to see. A great location with experienced people to tell you about the Falklands, also the history of the Falklands, great snacks home made cakes and biscuits, 4 types of penguins Rockhopper, Magelanic, Gentoo, Kings, and alot lot more smaller birds, scenery fantastic, also a great off road driving, a tough terrain but expertly done.

We had a wonderful visit with the large colony of Rockhopper penguins at Berkeley Sound. For us, the Rockhoppers are the Rock Stars of the penguin species!
Once we got to Murrell Farm, we went with the owner, Adrian, on a four-wheel adventure for about 50 minutes across rugged terrain to the rocky cliffs of the Sound. (There was added adventure when one other the other four-wheelers got stuck in the mud at a precarious angle and Adrian had to guide it out.) We had plenty of time to watch and photograph the Rockhoppers who constantly amused us with their chasing each other and tending to their fluffy gray youngsters while their yellow punk feathers were bouncing. Don't miss this wonderful excursion!

This property is simply breathtaking! Rocky ridge lines emerge through the middle of the farm and the coastline reveals a rugged, yet beautiful landscape fit for a penguin. Speaking of which, the Rockhoppers! Oh how we love these characters with so much personality. 3 main colonies stretch along the coastline high up on ledges hanging over the open ocean. Kelp forrest and carved rock formations make this a unique backdrop for the colonies of Penguins who return each day from the open ocean to feed and nurture their young chicks. A bit further in from the beach is a small colony of Gentoo Penguins, many with chicks at this time of the year. The landscape is vast and varied which makes a perfect habitat for the unique wildlife of the Falkland Islands. Adrian our personal guide and owner of the Farm brings a unique flare to the tour experience and is a fountain of knowledge on all aspects of life in the Falklands. Nothing beats local knowledge to help find those amazing places and intricate details you might not always notice. A surprise was the Northern Rockhopper mixed in with all the Southern Rockhopper penguins, this guy was simply cool, long haired dreadlock looking penguin. What a special encounter to see a Northern Rockhopper so far from home. I can’t wait to get back here.

We had day tour with Adrian on a recent stay in Stanley. It was the best as we were up close and personal with rock hopper penguins. Adrian was very easy to talk to and answered our million questions about life in this very remote part of the world. Pick up at our hotel was on time. We then went out to Adrian's farm where the colony is located. Once there it was cross country, which is very much part of the fun. Being the only people and no cruise ship crowd was definitely an advantage.
