What a warm welcome on a cold, windy day, and what a very well designed, informative and enjoyable hour or so. 'Put your money away - we don't charge visitors who come on a cruise ship'.

This Museum provides a detailed and fascinating view of the history of The Falkland Islands. There is so much to see that you'll need to put aside at least a couple of hours minimum to see it all. Particularly poignant were the voices of local...More

Thank you for taking the time to review our museum, we really appreciate it.

Just a short walk from the tender dock, this charming museum is free to cruise ship passengers. It is well maintained by locals who share their love of the islands. A short film depicts the 1982 war from the children's point of view.

We visited whilst on our Princess cruise & was told in advance if you presented your cruise card you would get free admission which was very nice, but it also meant the museum was very crowded. Small souvenir shop in the museum with toilets in...More

It does get a little crowded sometimes, I agree, in particular on the big cruise ship days. We are glad you enjoyed your visit regardless.

As our Emerald Princess cruise ship approached Stanley in mid-March 2018, the panoramic skyline of a desolate island with sparsely dotted houses began to show up, reminding me of 1982 Falklands War (a.k.a. Guerra del Atlántico Sur) which lasted 74 days. After driving through the...More

One of the best small museums I have visited. Plenty of information about the wildlife and history of the Falkland Islands from first settlers to recent conflicts. Many very interesting displays and some excellent videos. Well worth a morning or afternoon spent appreciating the place.
