Lots of restaurants, hotels and quaint villages surround this town with a European flavour. Lots to see and do so 2 nights was hardly enough. The two restaurants we ate at were fantastic. Will stay a week next time

We spend New Year's Eve and New Year's Day at Puerto Varas. The hotel was "walkable". Town is hilly. These folks certainly know how to celebrate -- fireworks and alcohol.
Puerto Varas is a small city by the Llanquihue lake, with a view of the Osorno Volcano. Even with its uncertain climate (it rains most of the year), it is lovely to walk around and enjoy the buildings, the sights and the food!
