Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I love this place. Great terrain and usually uncrowded. There is also an opportunity to view the summer training for World Cup ski teams. I have skied here about 10 times over the last 15 years. La Marmita De Pericles is the place to go for lunch.

The best places to stay bare in nearby Farellones are Hotel Posada Farellones or La Cornisa.

It is also easy to connect into Valle Nevado.

An excellent skiing resort placed high in the beautiful Andes. Staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke English to those who need it. They run beginner group classes (which are delivered in multiple languages which can slow the pace down - it is literally for first timers only) but no intermediate group classes so you have to pay more for a private lesson. Ask for Jean-Pierre as he is an amazing instructor but be aware that there are only a few green pistes.

Beautiful but scary drive up windy road. Barely 1 lane in each direction. Often without guard rails. Some curves were only 5mph & blind. Had to let 1 vehicle pass from opposing traffic. Only confident drivers should try. Nice views from resort & restaurants were pricey. Security was strict which is a plus & minus.

La Parva turns out to be our favorite from the three resorts. El Colorado does not offer much for food and the lifts are slow and old. El Nevada is too commercial for us. La Parva was just perfect with a good variety of terrain. Also, if you are more than 64, you can get a “super senior rate.” The two tickets for my husband and me were just about $50. What a bargain!

I think this resort is underrated due to the few people I saw on the slopes when I went. It's rather surprising considering the quality of its slopes and lifts. Great views of the Andes Mountains and parts of Santiago from above. There are plenty of discount deals if you have or know someone who has certain mobile providers or credit cards. Friendly staff and well kept trails.

Not as steep as I'd expect right off the lift/poma service. There is some steep stuff you can hike to all over. There are no hotels here and parking seems to be a bit of a nightmare- I think it's how they try to keep it local. I came in the spring so conditions were ok, might be better in the winter. Just be prepared to use A LOT of Poma lifts which I find annoying and it hurts my back.

I thought the terrain was a bit more varied that Valle Nevado. The one minor drawback is that the parking and the access from parking to the lifts is less than ideal.

The scenery is pretty amazing, and you can actually see Santiago from the road to and from La Parva.

The ‘ beginners’ area only use that steel bar pulling system to get to the top which I find very hard to use. Although there is a subarea for very beginners ‘osito’ with same system but much slower and therefore easy to practice it, that area is just for kids with a very short extension (pretty boring). This bar system is the only way to go back up the hill otherwise you have to leave the centre (walk like 10minutes), go to the street and get a lift with the blue transfers. I feel Colorado is much more appropriate for beginners.

The prices are not cheap, actually they're pretty expensive, so because of that you would expect at least good service, and that was not the case. They have a few really rude and unprofessional staff there, two female instructors were screaming at us when we're trying to learn how to ski, and one of the guys that give us the equipment was screaming at everyone with no apparent reason. We felt unmotivated and we are really disappointed.

La Parva is a great ski resort especially if you are travelling with people with differing levels of skill and experience, the terrain is so varied and you can easily take runs side by side with significant difference in difficulty due to the ridge lines.

The restaurants on site are also quite good.
