Bellavista is one of those areas you can spend alot of time just relaxing, drinking, eating, walking around and seeing all the quirky buildings and graffiti (amazing).. Pablo Neruda's house is located in this area. Well worth visiting.

A fabulous area to explore. There's artwork everywhere. Loads of bars and restaurants with a very hip feel to them.

This neighborhood is close to Pio Nino street and thus has many places to eat and drink nearby. There is a university and cathedral nearby as well. The park close by is good for a walk or to check the fountains.

We chose to stay in the central area for our first visit to Santiago, which was probably smart, but next time I'm staying in Barrio Bellavista. It's near Cerro Cristobal, the Pablo Neruda house, and still just a fifteen minute walk to downtown. The area...More

This is a great area to wander around. Some nice restaurants, small tourist market with souvenirs, one of Neruda's houses, lots of graffitti, lots of lapis lazulli shops.
