Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Navy Building has very impressive architecture and stands out in Plaza Sotomayor. It serves as the administration headquarters of the Commander in Chief of the Chilean Navy. Certainly worth visiting.

Of course, it is always better to be standing at a building as your tour guide explains what it is and such.

On the day I visited Valparaiso they were setting up for some large event and Plaza Sotomayor was full of scaffolding which made getting an unobstructed picture or view of the Navy building a bit difficult. The building is beautiful, i'm not sure if you can enter, i didn't try but its color and style are part of Valpo's charm. It stands proud on the Plaza and you are likely to see it if you visit, even if you just walk by. With so much visual splendor in this town, it's easy for such a building to blend in or get glossed over.

This building is tastefully painted and well maintained. I would love to have gone inside and seen the inevitable photos of warships past and present. As it was I just took a couple fromthe quayside

Nice building located in the modern Plaza Sotomayor, well kept facade, nice architecture, quite recent. The square has an underground parking and is the ideal place to start a city tour with the close by Peral lift.

Of all the imposing buildings in Valparaiso, the naval academy really does stand out. It's blue and white decor and sheer size makes it unmissable on Plaza Sotomayor. Not sure if you can actually go inside as it was closed on the weekend I was here.

We saw this building as it was dominating the skyline in that part of the town. It stand real tall in the square right behind the statue. Well worth stopping by.
