If you are into visiting local museums and learning about the local culture, this is a must. We learned so much about Guayasamin and his artistic style; a true genius. The tour comprises his private home (now a museum) and then of La Capilla del Hombre are both available in English. Our deep inspiration led us to purchased a beautiful... More

Worth visit! Very interesting place. The art is amazing - never saw this artist's works in real life. Very moving.

We enjoyed both the Museum for its interpretive tour delivered in English and the opportunity to view his works in grand scale. The tour of his home was included as well but the English speaking guide was difficult to understand at times and the tour was too fast paced, lacking in detail and there was no opportunity to closely examine... Guayasamin's house would be interesting if some explanations were offered about all the items in it. There are none on the walls, not even names of the various painters. The guide speaks English but you cannot understand him because he speaks so low and does not articulate. The art museum has beautiful samples of Guayasim's art though a limited amount.... More

An exceptional space for exceptional art works. Far better than guyasamin Ins home next door which was rushed, this is visited at your own pace. Truly exceptional.

I was living in Quito for several months and decided to come vist this museum. The art work is beautiful and the design of the museum is very well laid out. The cost of the tour was about $4 and we were allowed into Guayasamin's house as well. The staff were all lovely and very informed and even let me... More

A unique attraction The site features three attractions devoted to the work of Oswaldo Guayasamin regarded as Ecuador’s most renowned contemporary artist. There is the Capilla del Hombres which is a secular ‘chapel’ devoted not to religion but to humanity itself and features many of his later works, an archaeological outdoor area and finally the painters own house where he... Do not miss it, amazing collection of Guayasamin's works, plus you have his former house and workshop in the same complex. Nice guides, for the same price of the entrance fee.
