Didn't know anything about guayasamin. Worth getting a short tour with explanation. He now is one of my favorite artists. Well worth it.

I visited this as the second part of my morning at the Guayasamin property, and enjoyed this almost as much as the house itself. Definitely see this if you like art, personal stories or the history of Ecuador and all of south america!

the house and gallery were wonderful. Unfortunately we were VERY rushed through the tour of the house and were not allowed to linger to take in the details of the home and studio. The separate Chapel of Man was amazing and we could take as...More

This is worth the cab ride to an amazing contemporary museum with the art of one of S. America and Ecuador's best artists, Guayasamin. The art is very political showing the life of the lower class in Ecuador. You also tour the artists home where...More

Did not really know what to expect, was blown away. This museum is comprised of the artist Guayasamin's private house (designed by his brother), and the adjacent museum. The tour starts with a visit of the house; a time capsule, decorated with many great works...More

The art of Guayasamin is beautiful and heartbreaking, especially his protest art. The chapel and the artist's house are definitely worth the visit.
