Another of Quito's impressive examples of beautiful old churches. Very humbling to think how long this old building has been in service, and how it presides over the adjacent Santo Domingo Plaza. Our hotel was right on the plaza so every day when we returned...More

Another church that will live in your heart forever. Not to be missed and a great place to light a candle and say a prayer.

The place is large and full of history. The streets around it area also nice and safe to stroll during day and dusk. Night strollers should be a bit more vigilant there are always bad apples.

Stayed across the street from this beautiful church that is lit as beautifully outside at night. Lovely inside and as with the other 16th century churches huge. The Virgin Mary was lit with lights over the altar.

Beautiful church interior. Like most church's in Quito they are breathtakingly beautiful. With such intricate hand painted ceilings and amazing gold designs it's definitely worth a visit.
