Piedra de Agua - Fuente Termal y Spa is a modern and complete thermal tourism center located 10 minutes from downtown Cuenca - Ecuador. Built almost entirely from limestone rock of volcanic origin carved out of the same location, Piedra de Agua combines stone, glass and wood in its clean and modern architecture to achieve delicate and comforting spaces. Our main attractions are our THERMAL WATER of volcanic origin and a series of related services which include volcanic mud treatments, vaporized massages, steam baths, contrast baths, box steam baths and more. My wife and I just spent half a day at the spa. In addition to the general admission which includes steam bath, 2 mud baths, a hot and cold tub, box steam bath, and several hot, medium and cold pools, the offer massages. I did all the above. It was well worth the price. I understand there are also senior... More

We had a wonderful time at the spa. We went on weds when you can go to the spa circuit for 35dollars for 2 from 5-10pm cocktails were also half price. We started in the steam room moved to two different types of mud pools and then on to more steam and contrast pools. Then out to the warm pool... More

We had a wonderful day at Piedra de Agua. The massage, underground pool (highlight), mud baths, and service are excellent. I cut my hand on a piece of mirror attached to the side of a building. I was doing yoga, it was totally my fault. They brought me some aloe to help promote scabbing, and it worked quite well. The... More

One of the best spa's I've ever visited by far - the staff are always there to answer your every whim and the facilities provide a great range of things to do. Steam room, waterfall showers, steam box chambers, red and blue clay bud masks, hot and cold plunge pools underground in candlelit caves and a Japanese spa pool. They... More

These privately owned thermal baths are well worth a day trip to Banos de Cuenca. We enjoyed the different hot springs and red and blue mud treatments. Nevertheless, some services were under maintenance or still under construction. This basically brings down the site to a variation of hot springs and a steambath. More services would be an advantage, so check... More

I stumbled upon this place when I took a taxi to Baños de Cuenca for a day trip. Not wanting a massage, but wanting more than just a soak in the pool, I opted for the $35 spa package. And I'm glad I did. The mud baths, especially the red mud, were great for my skin. The volcanic showers afterwards... More

Great place. Very stylish. Excellent food. The staff were brilliant at showing you round and explaining. Food was high quality. Went with baby and not a problem if you share the time with them while the others enjoy the treatments. Sit in the restaurant of relax and spot the humming birds. Two for one one Tuesday treatments and cocktails.

My teenage daughter and I visited on their 2 for the price of one day (Monday) which made the spa very affordable. The spa is well done. Staff are quietly attentive. The different mud baths and steam rooms were a fun experience. Can ride from Cuenca cost us $7 and we took the bus back at just 25 cents each.
