Nice square to get a feel for the city.

The new cathedral, a few nice places for lunch and the double decker buses that tour the city start here. You will be likely to stop here and enjoy it.

Between the old and new cathedrals. Great spot to hangout and people watch or grab an ice cream. Has wifi, but it was not connecting to the Internet when we were there. Bus tour starts here.

I love this place. Often there are small concerts on the stage, or maybe even some kids doing break dancing to recorded music. All manner of people visit, sit, read and people watch at all times of the day and night. During holidays such as Independence of Cuenca, concerts and fiestas go on all day and night.

If you just want to sit down and watch the culture and the people and the environment go by go to the corner and get an ice cream and then come back to the park and just sit and watch the people walk by, what's the photographer with his wonderful St. Bernard posing with the children for photos in the... This park is in El Centro, Cuenca . I have always wanted to just pitch a tent here and live here. It is beautiful, peaceful, always has friendly people hanging out. It is skirted by the best ice cream parlour in town and several good restaurants. It is always a pleasure to be in this amazing space

Not only are all the people out, strolling with their ice creams, enjoying the scenery, but on the weekends the gazebo is rockin'! There's always live music, starting at about 11:30 AM, lasting until about 1 PM (13:00). Don't miss Sunday in the Parque.

I thought the kids would get whiplash as fast as they make-out up in there. It's like the damas and caballeros in the morning with their proper style and formal hellos in the morning. Men with their hats, women with their fans. After sundown, it's hip-hop, bachata and the kids come out with the flashy rave sticks, firecrackers and they... More

The place is at the center of the city, it offers free wifi, you can sit and rest for a while at the benches and watch the locals having regular activities.

After visiting the tourist office, I saw the sign that says the name of the park. It is a beautiful park, with some flowering trees, benches to sit down, statue, water fountain, etc. Across from it are the new and old cathedrals. Must see and visit!
