Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is an interesting but not essential place to visit in Arequipa.
If you are only in town for a day or two, there are more important destinations. But if you’re here for a few days and find yourself walking through this neighborhood just off the main square, it’s a nice site to visit.
The exhibits of Peruvian archaeological artifacts, paintings dating from the Spanish conquest and a numismatic (money) collection are interesting and well done.
What I found more interesting was the house and gardens. While it looks luxurious by modern standards, it was actually considered a middle-class home.
A guide is provided. There was no official charge for this service, but she did a good job of explaining things and keeping a few wild kids from trashing the place so I offered a tip. My visit was conducted in Spanish but I was told the guides can also handle English. The entire visit takes about 30 minutes.
